Idea projektu

The Town House at Jesuitská Street is located in the very center of the historical area of the city of Brno, close to the baroque church Nanebevzetí Panny Marie. The narrow site in which the house is located has not a width of ten meters and a depth of almost fifty. Designing an object in these conditions has become a challenge.

Městský dům při ulici Jezuitská se nachází v samotném centru historické zástavby města Brna v těsné blízkosti barokního kostela Nanebevzetí Panny Marie. Stísněná proluka, ve které se dům nachází, nemá na šířku ani deset metrů a do hloubky pak skoro padesát. Navrhnout objekt v těchto podmínkách se stalo výzvou.

Popis projektu

There was an effort for a functional, simple form and minimalist conception of the whole object. The mass of the house is based on the connection to the surrounding area and the necessary sunshine of the flats. The function of the house is divided into two parts. In the upper part of the building there is a living room and in the lower part of the building there is a gallery of art with a café where the interior space cannot be insolation due to the narrow street.

Byla zde snaha o funkční, jednoduchou formu a minimalistické pojetí celého objektu. Hmota domu vychází z návaznosti na okolní zástavbu a potřebného proslunění bytů. Funkce domu je rozdělena na dvě části. V horní části je umístěno bydlení a ve spodní části, kde není možné proslunění vnitřních prostor z důsledku úzké ulice, byla umístěna galerie umění s kavárnou.

Technické informace

The structure is from cast-in-place concrete. The facade is made of stone blocks that give the building an urban character. On the contrary, the atrium uses a facade of wooden slats to reduce the expression of the entire mass of the object.

Nosná konstrukce je z monolitického betonu. Fasáda je tvořena z kamenných bloků, které dávají objektu městský charakter. Naopak v atriu je použita fasáda z dřevěných lamel pro zmírnění výrazu celé hmoty objektu.
