Idea projektu

The unique design Violinì Cultural Center is based on the search of a form that remembers an object commonly used in theaters. The particular design is inspired by the resonance holes, known as effe, on the harmonic table of various musical instruments, especially violin family instruments.
I chose to give the building a light line to balance it with the surrounding environment. One peculiarity lies in the fact that the shape of the resonance hole shape is repeated by looking at the building from above or looking at the profile construction.
The southern part of the building, where the theater is located, rises 9 feet from the ground and then falls to the north, giving the impression that the building rests flat on the ground.
The color chosen for the building is white because it contains all the colors of the electromagnetic spectrum, as well as the construction must accommodate all the artistic expressions.

Popis projektu

this project realized during the last year of Technical Institute for Surveyors is aimed at the realization of a public space. I have chosen to design a cultural center with curved shapes, because in my opinion a building intended to accommodate a wide audience must first be in balance with the surrounding environment and cause the user to feel a sense of freedom and pleasure, and the only ones profiles that can meet this requirement are prone to curved conformations.
I started by sketching a F-Holes of a violin. Then I reproduced the cad design with mathematical relations between the various spaces. After making the cad design I produced the 3d model and then rendered.

Technické informace

The Cultural Center Violin is characterized by a particular architecture and offers a special and sophisticated space for various events.
This particular building is placed on a plot of 71,540 sqm and occupies an area of 15,520 sqm.
The building organization is located on a large square that can be used for public events and as a meeting point for people. It is located in an area of great pedestrian and cycling accessibility, with main entrance on the street. The building is in a very favorable position for social activities and interaction with the city, given the limited distance with the bus station, public offices and other services such as elementary and secondary schools.

Spaces
The building is divided into three sections: the theater, with the main entrance and the respective foyer, the library located in the middle equipped with a bar and a conference room adaptable to various events such as a dance essay.

Theater
The entrance foyer is characterized by a large hole to allow the light to illuminate even the underlying floor. There are also lifts to access the lower floor and ramps for the disabled to access the second floor of the theater.
The theater plant is inspired by the classic form of Greek theater for optimal sound distribution. It is divided into two floors and can accommodate 814 people. All seats are numbered with small lights on the floor that allow viewers to identify their seats.

Stage
In addition to being a building with a particular architecture, Violin, it is equipped with many high-tech appliances used in the development of its central scenario.
The theater has several dance rooms and is equipped with 8 comfortable dressing rooms for artists and 2 collective dressing rooms. The dressing rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, showers, Tv.

Library
The library located in the center of the complex is characterized by large and long glass windows and receives natural light from the north and south. It has a large collection of books of various typology.
There is also a lounge with various sofas where you can relax by reading. The reading room is adaptable to various exhibition events.

Conference room
The shape of the conference room is due to the particular external shape of the building, low and elongated.
It can be adapted for various events and can accommodate up to 514 people seated.
It has several individual and collective changing rooms as well as 3 test rooms.

Interior
The interior floors are lined with Stone-Ker porcelain stoneware that creates continuity between the floor and the wall, thus increasing the visual amplitude of the space.

Light
Light is a tool of knowledge: it allows us to perceive and to know the surrounding environment. I therefore sought to include large windows in order to improve the perceptual quality of the spaces and make the rooms more pleasant in terms of comfort and quality of living.
The light in the interior design of the building, together with the particularly glossy materials plays an important role in transmitting a sense of infinity and lightness.

Structural Design
The building consists of two main systems cooperating: a reinforced concrete structure combined with the space-frame system, a steel structure that covers large luminaires. The system, thanks to its flexibility and semi-automatic management of design and manufacturing phases, makes it possible to create unmistakable geometries and avoid mistakes during its construction due to the very low manufacturing tolerances and prefabricated production.

External cover
The space-frame system used for theater coverage is coated with reinforced concrete and reinforced polyester fiberglass, it allows to faithfully follow the plastic shape designed for the building.
Each panel is equipped with a series of high-power LEDs to turn the theater cover into a giant screen on which to project special effects or promotional images.
