Benghazi Train Station

Project idea

The main idea of the building is to design using the Beauty and the Balance of the Local Architecture in Benghazi, Libya, to make first impression for the visitors from West of the city about the culture and the theme of Benghazi.

Project description

Benghazi Train Station is the West entrance point of the City. Thus, it should has not only symbolic value but also memorable and unique shape. This project is to design a functional and social transportation complex in Benghazi by using the potential of land and realize its nature as a landmark by making connection between light rails, intercity rails, bicycle and bus routes and pedestrian pathways.

The building is inherently accessible to older people, people without disabilities, and people with disabilities and " Design For All " has been the main part of the design.

Technical information

Analyzing the composition and the strategies from the most famous buildings that reflect the style in the city .Also, using concrete and stone as the main materials as the landmarks of Benghazi.
