Cultural Center In A Rural Landscape

Project idea

The Site is an old house situated in the suburbs of Batroun - Lebanon. The village is called Smar Jbeil. Smar Jbeil is one of the oldest villages in Lebanon. It is located on a hill facing the Mediterranean sea at 500 m elevation. The Idea of the project is to create a cultural center for the people to benefit from.

Project description

In this project , the olive trees play a major role in the circulation. It makes us feel as if they are leading the way we circulate throughout the place.In addition to that, they are covering the house, as if they are protecting it from the outside harms.So i have decided to build my project around these old precious trees. I have let the trees build my way .

The project is made of : a video to explain the circulation and concept, photographs , site analysis , rendered plan , plantation plan , color palette , two sections, three rendered images.
