Project description

The subject of the project is to reconstruct and review of the external appearance of a commercial-residential unit in one of the central neighborhoods of Chalus.
The building's turbulence on the western side (The main facade) of the building in terms of visual and executive (non-observance of the basics of implementation) has caused the influence of moisture into the building and the mental damage (dissatisfaction) to its inhabitants. The cost limitation of the employer was examined by optimization strategy (material constraints, labor restrictions) in the design of the outer shell in order to fix it.
Since the western side of the building is the boundary between a public space (Urban (and a private space, there is a need for a unified and unconventional shell to address the challenges of the climate (the exchange of air and energy, and the prevention of atmospheric precipitation), as well as the economy and culture issue. In order to create this integrated shell, the need for common language in the entire facade shell was revealed by analyzing existing materials in line with the climate and optimizing the cost of the project. The choice of brick as a base modulus plays a decisive role in the whole structure and can be replicated in a common language in the whole facade shell on a different scale. On the other hand, the color of the brick is a metaphor of the color of the roof tiles in the neighborhood texture, which moving from the ceiling to the surface of the facade, seeks to create a perceptual equilibrium in the human perspective in the neighborhood. Also, by reducing the brick density in a square meter (Replica studies), was obtained the basic and optimal pattern from Structural Weight, light, visibility and cost.

Finally, the reconstruction of the external facade was carried out according to the initial strategy of 5 million Toman (material and unskilled labor).
