Novostavba na mieste zaniknutej synagógy - New building on the place of extinct synagogue

Project idea

Ideou môjho projektu je navrhnúť novú súčasnú architektúru, ktorá bude svojou formou pripomínať už neexistujúcu synagógu, zachytením jej charakteristických znakov ako sú členenie hmoty, tvar pôdorysu, sedlová strecha, pričom jej obsah je adaptovaný na súčasné podmienky a potreby mestského života. Súčasťou návrhu je aj úprava okolia objektu, kde som sa snažila vytvoriť príjemné prostredie na oddych, hru detí a mestské spoločenské aktivity.
The main idea of my project is to design a new contemporary architecture that reminds in its form a extinct synagogue, capturing its characteristic features such as mass division, ground plan, saddle roof, its contents adapted to the current conditions and needs of urban life. My project also contains an adaptation of surroundings of the building, where I tried to create a pleasant environment for relaxation, children's play and city activities.

Project description

Navrhovaný objekt sa nachádza v centre mesta na Námestí Osloboditeľov v meste Michalovce na východe Slovenskej republiky. Podkladom pre návrh riešenej novostavby sú poznatky z historických fotografií, dostupnej literatúry o synagógach a ďalších pôvodných podkladov získaných v príslušných inštitúciách. Vzhľadom na skutočnosť, že k objektu nie je zachovaná výkresová dokumentácia, ani dodatočné zamerania stavby, postupovala som podľa dochovaných fotografií, katastrálnych plánov, a tiež, analogicky, štúdiom podobnej synagógy v Prešove.
Zahŕňa v sebe niekoľko funkcií ako kaviareň, galéria, divadlo so zázemím, nahrávacie štúdio, scénografický a výtvarný ateliér a tiež podzemné parkovisko s prístupom do budovy.
The building is located in the center of the city on Osloboditelov Square in Michalovce in the east of the Slovakia. The basis for the proposed new building is the knowledge of historical photographs, available literature on synagogues and other original documents obtained in the relevant institutions. Due to the fact that the building is not preserved drawing documentation, or additional focus of the construction, I proceeded according to preserved photographs, cadastral plans, and also, analogical study of a similar synagogue in Prešov.
It includes several functions such as a café, a gallery, a theater with a background, a recording studio, a scenic and art studio, and an underground car park with access to the building.

Technical information

Nosná konštrukcia objektu je riešená železobetónovým (ŽB) skeletom tvoreného ŽB stĺpmi hr. 400x400mm. Stĺpy budú prepojené v pozdĺžnom smere, a čiastočne aj v priečnom smere, ŽB prievlakmi hr. 400x400mm. Nad prievlakmi bude uložená monolitická ŽB stropná doska hr. 200mm. Ako výplňové murivo budú použité pórobetónové tvárnice hr. 400mm. Celá konštrukcia bude zateplená tepelnou izoláciou z minerálnej vlny, a povrch na murovaných častiach stavby bude ukončený obkladovými doskami z pohľadového betónu. Ostatná časť stavby bude riešená celopresklenými hliníkovo oceľovými stenami, predsadenými pred nosnú konštrukciu stavby.Bočné časti strechy sú navrhnuté ako plochá extenzívna vegetačná strecha.
The skeleton of the object is solved by a reinforced concrete columns- 400x400mm. The pillars will be connected in the longitudinal direction, and partly also in the transverse direction. Above the dies, the monolithic rainforced concrete ceiling plate- 200 mm. The whole structure will be insulated with thermal insulation from mineral wool, and the surface of the brickwork will be finished with concrete slabs. The other part of the building will be covered by large full glass aluminium-steel structure installed in front of the structure. The roof will be covered by aluminium sheets and side parts of the roof are designed as a flat, extensive vegetation roof.
