Elie Abi Safi
Elie currently serves as Head of the Architecture Department at the School of Architecture and Design, where he teaches Architectural Visual Communication to graduate students. Elie’s journey began in 2002 with a Master's degree in Architecture from USEK. This foundation was further strengthened by a commitment to digital design tools. In 2011, he earned the Autodesk Authorized Instructor certifications for AutoCAD, 3D Max, and Revit software. This dedication to technology continued with the pursuit of a second Master's degree, a Master of Arts in Contemporary Art in 2019. The thesis title, “Les outils numériques initiateurs de nouveaux courants artistiques” (Digital Tools as Initiators of New Artistic Movements), highlights his fascination with the intersection of art and technology in shaping the built environment. Elie’s expertise extends far beyond the theoretical. Since graduation, he has actively navigated both the design and execution aspects of architecture. In 2010, he established Free Dimension Lb, a design firm whose portfolio boasts projects across Lebanon, Belgium, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria. Elie is also a certified juror at the Inspireli Awards, a prestigious international competition for students of architecture and interior design.

High end creativity is what I simply bake!

What architects are trying to achieve usually is to create a focal point in their designs. And this is a way to focus on particular components of the architectural design. It's just making simple things seems more exquisite and much more alive.
My Architecture Focus is to create weird emblematic emotional spaces of value. In fact, it is a passion and desire to strive for the best, amid the challenges and pressures that make you an architect worth it.

However, to be a real architect is not about to be only uniquely different but to be much more awaken for enlightenment arts.
In the enlightened state of art, you still use your thinking mind when needed, but in a much more focused and effective way than before. So what is left when illusion of creativity ends?

I think a good design whether its an architectural or urban planning scale all the way down to product design, the underlying principle is to make things better for people. I think the motive should be to use design to enable people to live better lifes, to get more out of everything. Its a goal quite often can be lost in architectural design and for this one must under the human conditions cultural differences around the world, the climatic sitiations that people are in and more and more its about trying to embrace all aspects of health. So I think in all aspects if you allow yourself to think about health, think about the wellbeing of the people we are designing for - it can finally lead us into some interesting and new strategies for where technology should go. There is a responsibility to think about people in a broader sense. Young people eventually become old people, firm people become infirm. so there is a constant need to think about all at the same time to make the world a happy place to be for all.
