As an architect and founder of Omar Harb Architects & Associates, my work centers on creating meaningful spaces that bridge cultural heritage with contemporary needs. I approach architecture as a critical dialogue between context, climate, and community—merging environmental responsibility with functional design. With a deep interest in the socio-political narratives of the built environment, particularly in post-conflict urban settings, my practice is rooted in exploring architecture’s role as both witness and agent of change. Through teaching, research, and built work across diverse scales, I remain committed to thoughtful design that resonates with place, purpose, and people.

He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Civil Engineering at STU in Bratislava, division Architecture. At present he works as a PhD student at the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. In his dissertation he deals with a sustainable aspect of renewal, more specifically the influence of intermediate space on energy efficiency. He has worked with several well-known architects in his practice. At the same time, he has successfully participated in different architectural competitions in a couple with Ing. arch. et Ing. Ema Kiabova. Together set up an architectural studio ER Atelier.

Abhishek Rao is a budding urbanist, licensed architect, noted artist, illustrator and the founder of Abhishek Rao Studio, a transdisciplinary creative unit. He has pursued architecture, planning & design. He also holds a ‘Visharad’ in fine arts and a diploma in Information Technology. He is the winner of WASA Genius Architect Medal 2021 for securing highest overall score in the world. Abhishek also bagged WASA Genius Building Award 2021 & WASA One Percent Award 2021 at Japan. Currently he is a practicing architect & academician. Abhishek got associated with AIA since 2021, after he graduated in architecture under mentorship of Architect. Simon Wells.
