Sohrab Azizollahi is an Iranian Architect, who his projects were awarded and recognized in several international architectural festivals and competitions. He has founded his professional practice, Sohrab Azizollahi Studio in 2009, and also has worked as a freelance architect in architectural competitions. He has participated in many construction projects, including his own designs as an executive principal and director. His most important awarded project is “Each devastated cities” which was awarded the iF Design Talent Awards 2017 in Germany, and he has been shortlisted and honored in several international architectural awards such as INSPIRELI Awards in Prague, 2A Asia Architectural Awards, in Vienna & Berlin, and Middle East Architect Awards in UAE.

His main focus in architectural and urban design and research is on the environmental design process and using smart technologies for providing sustainability in the projects, besides considering the context and culture.

Based in Boston, she is currently an Associate Urban Designer at Perkins&Will, where she leads award-winning master plans that prioritize functionality, design excellence, and climate adaptation. Her work for the University of Kansas Master Plan received the 2024 SCUP Excellence in Planning Honor Award, while her contributions to the Delaware State University Campus Plan earned a BSLA Regional Merit Award.She holds a Master of Science in Architecture and Urbanism from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where her research on climate adaptation and Indigenous knowledge systems was selected for the MIT Climate Grand Challenge and presented at the Design Research Society (DRS) 2022 Conference in Bilbao. Through her work with the MIT Civic Design Initiative, she co-authored the Deep Listening Framework. Her work has been featured in MIT News, Maptionnaire, and the KU Alumni Magazine.Mona’s global design practice is informed by both research and innovation. Philip Horton is a Clinical Associate Professor and a Senior Global Futures Scientist, and he is currently acting as the Assistant Director for Strategic Initiatives for The Design School. In Academic Year 2020/21 Horton served as the Interim Director for The Design School. Horton is currently participating in a transdisciplinary research initiative with the Global Futures Laboratory (GFL), the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO), Studio MA, and other units within ASU. He is currently co-directing the launch of the interdisciplinary Center of Building Innovation (cobi) at ASU, as well as the emergent "Wakanda ASU" initiative.Horton previously acted as faculty advisor to Team ASUNM (Arizona State University and the University of New Mexico) on the SHADE house (Solar Homes Adapting for Desert Equilibrium) for the U.S. Department of Energy's 2013 Solar Decathlon, and as the studio professor for the Waimea Nui Community Development Initiative with the Native Hawaiian Homesteaders' Association. He received a Master's in Architecture (M.Arch) with commencement honors from the Arizona State University's College of Architecture and Environmental Design (now the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts), and is currently completing the Stanford LEAD Executive Education program through the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
