The flying lego

Project idea

As a student of 1st year of architectual faculty i bassed my project on the best idea i could think of. This is an object dedicated to Lego. This object cant be looked from one side, it has to be visualy percepted as a whole. I wanted to make something that would remind every person that looks at it, no matter the years, of something, sometehing that reminds them of something. I wanted to present my perception on architecture.

Project description

This object should be looked at from a distance, that our mind makes out something of it. I wanted to loose every sence of construction, so i added pillars in various directions to hide the ones that are supporting structure and glass walls on the second floor so it could better merge with the envoirement. Tubes inside Lego are going from hte top one to the bottom one, providing natural light and air. I wanted to make something that shouldnt be looked as a sculpture or a object, I wanted to make a representation that architecture could talk, it can merge in its soruondings and make itself a piece of envoirement, it can tell us to go outside of the box, and think.

Technical information

I used red lego plastic for the top and bottom lego and glass for the middle ones, pillars are form iron sorounded with black lego plastic
