Project idea

IN ETHIOPIA, addis abeba, place of location for the new embassy of the Czech Republic.
In a context analyzed and characterized by an alpine climate, in an urban area with a growing development, and with a terrain with a certain height, its own vegetation and irregular shape,
is the new site for an emblematic building in the city.
Clave, is to achieve combining a public space with a building of architecture container of the activities that the program requires.
reinterpreting the public street of the Czech Republic, a characteristic element of its culture, as are the activities open air, cinema, literature, among other things.
get the building as an embassy to develop a cultural exchange between the people of both countries.
Our objective is to give the project a public character, container of social activities, with the use of architectural resources to solve security.

Project description

Our linear building, located in an east - west direction to achieve the largest surface to the north, and following the slope of the land, achieving a vacuum in the central part, configuring a public space at a pedestrian level.
To the east, located the ambassador's house, with its accesses and sheltered. Also located the access of the embassy staff.
the rest of the building houses all the functions, placing the most private as it rises in height.
with a linear architectural party, well-defined circulations, we look for a project that is easy to read and resolve.

Technical information

Designed with a structure of metallic skeleton, (beams and columns), with isolated bases, and a modulation, which allows a dynamism in the space.
In its interior the divisions with dry construction, its limits with carpentry of glass glued and covered on the outside by a sheet of rusty metal and perforated that gives a unit to the building.
