Project idea

Project repurposes unused railway areas and marging three main districts' traffic current together. Focuses mainly on raising ground level above working railway tracks and urban parking space in a form of a bridge, and creating safe space for living/working without the need to hide rainway infrastructure below ground or getting rid of them alltogether. The Project was to show a different way of looking at design and not being scared of differentiating reference levels in urban planning.

Project description

Project has two main reference levels of work such as "0" level with city park, urban parking space, railway tracks, railway history museum (in place of abandoned railway buildings), offices and corresponding residential sector and "+2" level with three main residential sectors, services' passage with gastronomy/ cathering business and two additional restaurants. The "+2" level also connects with roof of the museum resulting with new interesting connection method between "+2" and "0" level.

Technical information

Project consists of master plan detailing and determinating entire study area as well as detailed project of the "bridge" itself. Added additional visualisations for a better understanding of the project idea.
