Allan Mensah lives and works between Lyon and Paris. He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Lyon in 2022. He is developing a personal practice between the architectural project and artistic creation. His multidisciplinary work mixes eclectic mediums: video, publishing, installation, constructed projects as well as research projects.Allan Mensah has presented his work at the Villa Noailles (Hyères) and at the Driving the Human and Forecast art festivals (Berlin). He has also completed a research residency at the Lisbon Triennial, and presented a short film at the Museo Nazionale MAXXI (Rome) as part of the MAFL program. In 2023, he was one of the 25 emerging European practices, fellow of the LINA architecture platform.He is currently working on reuse at a metropolitan scale as an architect in l’AUC (Paris while teaching in masters studio at ENSA Lyon.

Jako autorizovaný architekt České komory architektů a Švýcarské společnosti inženýrů a architektů se ve své praxi zaměřuji na mezinárodní architekturu s důrazem na kontext, kvalitu zpracování a dlouhodobou udržitelnost. Zkušenosti jsem získal v architektonických ateliérech v Česku, Německu a Švýcarsku a studoval jsem architekturu na školách v České republice, Německu a Singapuru, což mi umožňuje přistupovat k projektům s otevřenou perspektivou a hlubokým porozuměním různorodým kulturním i technickým kontextům. Specializuji se na návrhy ze dřeva a ekologicky šetrné konstrukce, kde kombinuji tradiční materiály s inovativními řešeními. Své odborné zájmy rozvíjím také mimo ateliér — jsem autorem podcastu věnovaného architektuře, designu a umění, ve kterém otevírám témata přesahující běžnou praxi. V současnosti působím jako architekt ve společnosti UBM Development, se sídlem v Praze. Jsem součástí mezinárodního týmu navrhujícího projekty v Rakousku, Česku a Německu, přičemž cílem mého působení je přebírat vedoucí role na rezidenčních projektech a podílet se na formování moderní městské výstavby v evropském kontextu.

Architect and Interior Designer

Practicing architect, pedagogue working at the Department of Architecture of SvF STU in Bratislava, founding member of PRAKS and lecturer of practical workshops for architecture and construction students "PRAKS". As part of his research, he focuses on embodied emissions, low-emission materials and climate change mitigation in the construction sector. He designed and built several small-scale objects, mainly made of wood, clay and various other natural materials.
