He has founded his professional practice, Sohrab Azizollahi Studio in 2009, and also has worked as a freelance architect in architectural competitions. He has participated in many construction projects, including his own designs as an executive principal and director. His most important awarded project is “Each devastated cities” which was awarded the iF Design Talent Awards 2017 in Germany, and he has been shortlisted and honored in several international architectural awards such as INSPIRELI Awards in Prague, 2A Asia Architectural Awards, in Vienna & Berlin, and Middle East Architect Awards in UAE.

His main focus in architectural and urban design and research is on the environmental design process and using smart technologies for providing sustainability in the projects, besides considering the context and culture.

Based in Boston, she is currently an Associate Urban Designer at Perkins&Will, where she leads award-winning master plans that prioritize functionality, design excellence, and climate adaptation. Her work for the University of Kansas Master Plan received the 2024 SCUP Excellence in Planning Honor Award, while her contributions to the Delaware State University Campus Plan earned a BSLA Regional Merit Award.She holds a Master of Science in Architecture and Urbanism from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where her research on climate adaptation and Indigenous knowledge systems was selected for the MIT Climate Grand Challenge and presented at the Design Research Society (DRS) 2022 Conference in Bilbao. Through her work with the MIT Civic Design Initiative, she co-authored the Deep Listening Framework. Lucciana est lauréate du 2e prix des Inspireli Awards en décembre 2020 pour son projet de fin d’étude PFE "Brain Drain", où elle cherche à résoudre la crise socio-économique au Liban en créant une plateforme pour les innovateurs et les créateurs ; ce projet créant un parcours métamorphique ayant pour but de concrétiser leur idée et enfin exposer ce produit final dans la tour qui tend vers l’infini qui accueillera les investisseurs et ainsi optimiser la chance des investissements locaux. Avant son arrivée en France en novembre 2020, elle a mené à bien un projet en son nom propre dans son village. Lucciana par son projet professionnel cherche à affirmer l’utilité sociale, environnemental de sa profession. « Suite à la crise sanitaire, l’architecture semble de plus en plus un métier de service, jouant un rôle primordial dans la société. L’architecture s’est avérée, le métier touchant la vie de tout être humain dans son habitat, dans son école, dans son métier et même au niveau de sa santé. My Architectural Focus As a Full Professor of Architecture and Building Technology, my architectural focus is rooted in sustainable innovation, cultural expression, and the advancement of design education. With over 25 years of international experience, my work bridges academic rigor, technological expertise, and artistic vision, allowing me to shape architecture not only as a built reality but as a transformative human experience.My research and teaching emphasize architectural tectonics, phenomenological design, and the integration of smart technologies in creating sustainable and livable communities. I believe in architecture as a multidisciplinary dialogue—one that harmonizes environmental responsibility, social context, and material integrity.I have been honored with several international recognitions, including the UNEP International Silver Award for Liveable Communities and the Research Excellence Award from Taif University, which reflect my commitment to impactful, forward-thinking design. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a certified E-Learning Director, I actively contribute to reimagining architectural education through digital transformation and global collaboration.By serving on the jury of the INSPIRELI AWARDS, I aim to support and inspire the next generation of architects, encouraging bold ideas, meaningful narratives, and sustainable visions for our shared future.
