My architectural philosophy consists of finding the right balance between being innovative,responsive, financially and enviromentally aware, in order to make good architecture accessible to all.

My Design process consist of 3 things:

1. Understanding the context 
2. Responding to the user needs
3. Exploring new ways of resolving issues from the first two points

I believe Architecture should be pushing its boundaries and that each building should not just be a functional structure but a unique answer to a social, a contextual or even an economical problem.

Architect, graduated in Rome at La Sapienza, with A. Terranova and R. Secchi. Master in Architecture at IN/ARCH and Master Degree in Advanced Architecture at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia of the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya with the direction of Vicente Guallart, Willy Müller and Marta Malé-Alemany.

He was Professor of Interior Design Urban edited by the Campania Region. Playwright, television and radio, has written for national TV (Rai Tre, Italia 1). Awarded at the Giffoni Film Festival as a writer for the miles innovative TV format in 2005. Awarded for Project Workshop Slowloop project WinP_07 Lions and the city of Salerno. His works are included as a "case history" in the course "Innovative Marketing" at Bocconi, MIlan.

Laertis is the Founder and Principal Architect of "O P A - Open Platform for Architecture" (2014) & "LAAV Architects" (2016), Awarded and multi-published designer of iconic Casa Brutale, Lux Aeterna Chapel, Villa Clessidra, Maralah Cabin for Infiniti QX80 (QX80 Brand Ambassador 2018), 2 x TEDx Speaker. Nicolas Turchi is a designer currently working at Zaha Hadid Architects and a Digital Futures PhD scholar at Tongji University. Nicolas holds a Master in Architecture II from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Bologna. He has worked for several firms including Eisenman Architects, Xefirotarch, Mario Cucinella Architects and 5+1AA. Nicolas is particularly interested in emergent technologies and how they affect the theoretical aspect of the discipline. Nicolas has also been studying the relationship between architecture and philosophy and graduated with a thesis on Time and Space in architecture, influenced by the thoughts of Henri Bergson and Edmund Husserl.
