The concept of the car showroom is inspired by the dynamic flow of movement impacting the car from the opposite direction. This force was translated architecturally into smooth, continuous curves that reflect the car’s aerodynamic response to motion. A grid system was developed based on directional arrows representing this flow, which in turn shaped the building’s plan outline and informed the overall massing. The result is a form that expresses movement, impact, and fluidity while reinforcing the identity of the car within the architectural language.
This project was designed as a branded car showroom that provides a dedicated display area for vehicles while meeting functional and operational requirements. The program includes a clearly defined elevator maintenance area to ensure efficient servicing and technical access without disrupting the visitor experience.
The outdoor storage area is integrated with lightweight shading elements, providing protection while maintaining a visually light and modern appearance.
To enhance the client’s experience, the design focuses on creating a smooth and luxurious shopping journey. This is achieved through a well-organized spatial layout and a strong relationship between the masses, ensuring clear circulation, visual hierarchy, and a sense of importance and elegance throughout the showroom.
Technical Information – Structural System:
In this design, the car showroom emphasizes the structural system as a primary architectural expression. As a design challenge, parametric design methods were used to explore advanced and innovative structural solutions.
• Car Showroom Building:
The showroom features a space frame roofing system, allowing large column-free spans that enhance visual focus on the cars. The flooring system is designed using a steel frame structure, providing flexibility and structural efficiency.
• Tower:
The tower adopts a diagrid structural system, which reduces the need for internal columns and improves structural performance. The flooring system is based on flat slab construction, while the tower is enclosed with a curtain wall façade system, reinforcing its modern and lightweight appearance.
• Maintenance Building:
The maintenance building also utilizes a space frame structural system, ensuring wide spans and efficient functionality for service operations.
