The project aims to create artistic works using bamboo as the primary material, forming a landscape/space with specific functions (relaxation, landscape node, customization, etc.) located at Nansha Bird Park in Guangzhou.
“Dat lanh chim dau” pavillion represents the intersection between a bird’s wing and a sail, symbolizing resilience and the human—and avian—desire to conquer new horizons. Structurally, bamboo plays the leading role. Functionally, the pavilion serves multiple purposes: a shelter for birds, a hanging space for exhibitions and a stepped surface for visitors to rest.
The combination of a solid frame and flexible wing-like elements creates a form that appears straight but curved. Simple joints (clamps and ropes) make the structure cost-effective, durable, and easy to maintain.
