Skill training and developing center is created based on the current needs of the society, providing a learning and teaching enviroment by experts in various fields to equipt students with specialized knowledge to participate in the labor environment. In addition to equipping basic skills, the center can now also training specific careers based on the needs of local or sector agencies.
The project adopts a modular design solution, with each module is arranged beneath a long-span roof system. A central courtyard is created to provide space for outdoor learning activities, while also serving as a “mini-park” for user groups such as children and the elderly in their daily community activities.
The facade of the building is made of lightweight, transparent, mobile material (polycarbonat panels) in order to cope with the extreme climate weather and get natural sunlight. During the hot season, the facade opens up to provide ventilation for the workspace and enhance interaction between the interior and exterior of the building. Conversely, the facade closes during the rainy season. The transparent facade allows for natural daylight harvesting while preventing rain ingress.
