Microdistrict in Kirovsky district, Kazan

Project idea

The concept provides for a connection between four neighboring microdistricts through a common transport road along the upper and lower border and common pedestrian roads. The main pedestrian route connects Lake Lebyazhye with the theater located on the embankment.

Project description

The territory of the microdistrict is divided into 2 parts by a network of roads: railway, republican and city significance. The upper zone is residential; the lower one is also residential, but with recreation and cultural and entertainment facilities. The connection between them is carried out through pedestrian roads that pass into the embankment. Between them there are concentrated objects of public life: shopping arcades, shops, a park area.

Technical information

The territory has a steep relief, which led to multi-level development with an increase in the number of storeys at the highest points. The main part is made up of apartment buildings, on strong slopes a block type of housing is provided.
