Lagom in Berlin: Embrace the essence of Swedish 'Lagom' culture in this Alt-Bau unit, where sophistication meets serenity. Seamlessly blending materials to create a harmonious flow, the design transcends borders, allowing every function to merge organically.

Elements stand as silent statues, embodying tranquility. Step into the bathroom—a sanctuary of simple sophistication, offering a calm escape from the chaos of everyday life.

Technical information

This bathroom showcases refined spatial planning and precise construction detailing. The freestanding bathtub is centrally placed, likely supported by reinforced subfloor framing to carry its weight, especially when filled. Behind it, the half-height partition wall incorporates a built-in niche with recessed shelving, finished with waterproofing and possibly integrated lighting. The walk-in shower is enclosed with custom matte-black framed glass panels, which are likely powder-coated aluminum with silicone-sealed joints for water resistance. Floor-to-ceiling wall cladding and large-format tiles or seamless microcement create a cohesive and waterproof envelope. Ceiling-mounted pendant lighting and concealed strip lights likely require recessed conduits and dimmable circuits. The full-height windows with curved tops suggest preserved historical elements, integrated with modern insulation and triple-glazed frames. The presence of a large, leaning mirror with wooden support and minimalist stools implies both lightweight mobility and structural balance. Overall, the construction blends traditional shell elements with precise, modern insertions, maintaining both elegance and function.
