Project idea

Rimal Resort is a sustainable retreat in Saint Catherine, Egypt, designed to harmonize with the desert landscape and spiritual heritage of the area. Using local materials and solar energy, Rimal offers eco-lodges, wellness spaces, and immersive cultural experiences with Bedouin communities. It serves as a tranquil destination for meditation, hiking, and reflection near the sacred Mount Sinai.

Project description

It's designed to reflect the natural beauty and spiritual essence of the Sinai region. The resort features a welcoming reception and waiting area with natural materials and mountain views, creating a calm arrival experience. A cozy café and lounge offer locally inspired food and drinks in a relaxed indoor-outdoor setting, encouraging rest and connection. Surrounded by nature, Rimal serves as a tranquil base for meditation, hiking, and cultural exploration.

Technical information

Rimal Resort is an eco-friendly retreat in Saint Catherine, Egypt, designed to blend seamlessly with the natural desert and mountain landscape. Built using local stone, wood, and rammed earth, the resort incorporates passive cooling, solar energy systems, and water recycling to minimize environmental impact.
