«Ivan the Terrible» restaurant in Russian style

Elizaveta Shelkunova

Project idea

The Russian—style restaurant concept is not just a tribute to traditions, but an opportunity to create a unique gastronomic space that will tell guests about the rich culture, history and culinary traditions of Russia.
Why is the Russian style important?
1. Cultural identity - Russian cuisine and atmosphere help to preserve and promote the national heritage. - It is a way to show the depth and diversity of Russian culture through the interior, music, serving and, of course, food.
2. Tourist attraction - Foreign guests are looking for authentic experiences — a Russian-style restaurant becomes a "delicious" guide to Russia for them. - Such a restaurant can become a hallmark of the city, such as the Pushkin Cafe in Moscow.
3. Nostalgia and traditions for local guests - For Russians, this is an opportunity to remember childhood, family feasts, and grandmother's recipes. - The modern interpretation of Russian cuisine (for example, author's dishes based on classical ones) attracts young people.
4. Uniqueness against the background of globalization - Against the background of many Italian, Asian and American establishments, the
Russian restaurant stands out for its originality. - You can beat not only the cuisine, but also Russian fairy tales, literature, folk crafts (Gzhel, Khokhloma, palekh)
The Russian style in the restaurant is not just "a la ruse", but a deep concept that can be both cozy and premium. It is important because it connects the past and the present, gives guests emotions and becomes a place where culture comes to life through gastronomy.

Project description
