The idea and philosophy of the space
The Club for Lovers of Russian Cuisine is not just a place for tastings and gastronomic experiments. It is a cultural center where traditions come to life and cuisine becomes a language of communication between peoples. The club was conceived as a space that unites people through food, stories and crafts. Here you can not only taste dishes of different nations, but also understand how cuisine is connected with the way of life, nature and worldview of each ethnos. The main idea of the club is to show gastronomy as a part of living culture. Russia is a country with a huge ethnic and culinary diversity, and the task of this club is to preserve and pass on these traditions, to make them accessible and understandable to everyone.

Architectural image: Russian stove as a symbol
The image of the club building is inspired by the traditional Russian stove - the heart of the house, a place where not only food was cooked, but also where the whole family gathered. The stove in Russian culture was a symbol of comfort, prosperity, warmth and hospitality. This idea was the basis of the architectural form of the club. Its volumes are massive, like the clay walls of a kiln, and the roofs resemble stove pipes. The white walls of the building symbolize the purity and simplicity inherent in folk architecture. They are not overloaded with details, but at the same time act as an ideal background for the key decorative element - national ornaments.

Ornaments as a code of culture
One of the most striking details of architecture are the ornaments decorating the roofs of the club. These patterns are not just decorative elements, but cultural codes of different peoples of Russia. On the roof of the club you can see various patterns: geometric motifs of Russian and Slavic embroidery - amulets with the meaning of fertility; astract ornaments of northern peoples, symbolizing reindeer - the main animals of the region; curls and plant ornaments, typical of the peoples of the Caucasus and Volga region, personifying nature, fertility, the eternal movement of life. This approach to decoration makes the club not just a building, but a kind of a book that can be “read” while looking at the patterns and immersing yourself in the culture of different peoples.

Project description

Functional program of the club
The hall for mass events - the center of the club's life
The club has a hall for 100 seats. Here you can listen to lectures of famous chefs, ethnographers and historians about the traditions of national cuisine, become a participant of culinary festivals, taste dishes of different nations or watch competitions in the format of culinary battles. In addition, gastronomic movie screenings, music and poetry evenings uniting culture and cuisine are organized in this hall.

Culinary Classes - a place where traditions come to life
Two culinary classes equipped with individual workers turn the cooking process into a fascinating journey through the gastronomic map of Russia. Master classes on national cuisine and courses on culinary techniques are held here. A special format is “culinary expeditions”, where invited guests from Russian regions share unique recipes and the secrets of cooking the dishes of their people.

Shared meals room - a place of communication and friendship
After master classes, guests gather in a cozy shared meals room, where they taste prepared dishes, discuss their history, share impressions and simply enjoy the warm atmosphere. The space of the hall can be easily adapted to different formats - a sliding partition separates it from the foyer, but if necessary, both rooms can be combined to create a spacious hall for banquets, presentations and festivals.

Store for Cooks - a corner of rare finds
The club has a small store. It sells rare spices, farm products as well as traditional kitchen utensils. Fans of culinary literature will find books with classic recipes of the peoples of Russia, studies on gastronomic traditions and modern compilations of author's dishes.

Interior
The interior of the Club for Lovers of Cuisine of the Peoples of Russia combines traditional motifs and modern design solutions, creating an atmosphere of coziness, hospitality and inspiration. A special feature of the club are the pyramidal light openings on the roof, which flood the room with natural light. The interior of these structures is made of reflective mirror material, which enhances the effect of diffused daylight. Light, refracted in mirror planes, softly fills the hall, creating a feeling of spaciousness and lightness. In the evening, a built-in lighting system repeating the shape of pyramidal tubes creates a glowing effect, adding depth and expressiveness to the interior.
