Project idea

The main idea of my project is to embed public facilities in the historical environment of the city of Kazan, as well as to design the interior of a public space.

Project description

My task was to create a new and unique public space with an attractive and functional interior by embedding it in the historical environment of the city of Kazan. My territory for designing public space is located between the houses at the address: Kazan, Mayakovsky Street 20. To begin with, a rectangular shape of the building was created through sketches and sketches. The planning solution directly depends on the created shape of the building. The building consists of 3 blocks. The total length is 20 meters, the total width is 7 m.
Next, it was necessary to determine the function of the building. The long and elongated block suggested that in such a long part it would be interesting to organize an exhibition space with posters telling the story of the great 20th century writer Vladimir Mayakovsky. Visitors could climb to the second floor via ramps and stairs. A souvenir shop would be well located on the second floor, where visitors could buy something. Visitors could descend thanks to the third block: a capsule elevator would be located there. In the course of reflection, it was decided to create such a public space as the Vladimir Mayakovsky RedPlace Gallery.
