Technical information

Type of structural system
"Liquid steel" roof structure. This form is constructed of small modular steel cells on a flexible and stretchable geometry and a built depth. The outer shell - the roof - is a self-supporting (like a bridge) structure, supported additionally by columns, but at the same time with suspended structures of the ceiling, walls and one of the facades. The load is supported by columns from the ground. Deflections in the plane pass through horizontal rods, and shear forces are supported by diagonals.
The shell form of the space frame is a horizontal slab of interconnected square pyramids and tetrahedrons constructed from aluminum or tubular steel struts. More technically, this is called an isotropic vector matrix or, in unit width, an octet truss.
