"In tamil culture , virundhombal is more than hospitality - Its a sacred duty to honour our guests with warmth, care and generosity." Built form inspired by welcoming hand gesture, the building embraces visitors from all directions.
The project focuses on the design of a convention center in Chennai, one of India’s thriving cultural and business hubs. The center is envisioned as a flexible, multifunctional space capable of hosting conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, and cultural events. The designemphasize the use of steel as a primary material, showcasing its structural versatility, aesthetic
potential, and environmental benefits.
The design mainly built using steel structures , as the main structural element. The cladding on the steel structure in the exterior and interior parts are done with Aluminium composite panels. Cafeteria space is built entirely using bamboo since it acts as a central attraction in the overall site.
