MatrixBANK is a commercial-administrative building located in the center of Suhareka, Kosovo. The structure consists of two basement levels, a ground floor, and five upper floors (2B+P+5), and is designed as a modern banking facility that meets both contemporary functional requirements and aesthetic standards.
The building serves as a headquarters for banking operations, housing savings and credit services, currency exchange departments, executive offices, and secured areas such as vaults and archives. It also includes client service areas and meeting spaces, all designed with natural lighting, energy efficiency, and user comfort in mind.
Project Objectives:
Modern Banking Infrastructure: The primary aim of the project is to create a banking facility that reflects transparency, reliability, and innovation. It is designed to support efficient internal workflows while providing a welcoming environment for clients.
Urban Integration: Strategically located near Suhareka’s central square, the building acts as a visual and functional landmark in the urban landscape. Its integration of green spaces and public access enhances the surrounding environment and fosters a sense of community.
Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: The design incorporates passive solar strategies, high-performance insulation, triple-glazed curtain wall façades, and a raised flooring system to accommodate technical infrastructure with minimal energy loss.
Architectural Identity: By combining natural materials such as wood with modern structural elements like reinforced concrete and glass, the project promotes a distinct architectural identity that blends tradition with modernity.
Security and Functionality: The building includes a robust vertical core, high-security vaults, controlled-access zones, and flexible interior layouts that adapt to the evolving needs of a financial institution

First Floor (K1): Open office space for savings services with 20 workstations.
Second Floor (K2): Credit department with 3 office zones (20 desks each), and offices for department managers.
Third Floor (K3): Foreign currency operations, including small units and manager offices for focused work.
Fourth Floor (K4): Transaction flow services with various workstation setups and supervisory offices.
Fifth Floor (K5): Executive level with director’s office, admin areas, and a modern boardroom for meetings.
The building features a reinforced concrete frame, energy-efficient triple-glazed curtain wall façade, raised floors for flexible wiring and HVAC systems, and a suspended ceiling system for lighting and acoustics. The exterior includes green areas, paved pedestrian paths, and 50 dedicated parking spaces, integrating the building harmoniously into the urban fabric of Suhareka.
