Project idea

The idea of the project is inspired by the need to create a refined and modern space where people can gather, relax, and socialize in a peaceful atmosphere. The project addresses the growing demand for aesthetic and functional public spaces such as cafes, where design plays a key role in user experience. The concept draws from classical architecture and combines it with contemporary elements to offer visitors a visually striking and comfortable place to meet.

Project description

The “Quidi” café project proposes the design of a contemporary public interior that harmoniously combines classical architectural references with modern aesthetic principles. The layout is organized to accommodate diverse user needs, featuring seating arrangements for 2, 4, and 5 persons, which encourage both individual and group interaction. A centrally positioned display counter ensures efficient service flow while serving as a visual focal point. The design emphasizes spatial coherence through the use of soft velvet upholstery, a blue-toned color palette, and arched wall niches containing preserved greenery, which introduce a natural and calming element. Special attention is given to ceiling composition and lighting, contributing to depth and ambiance. Auxiliary spaces such as the entrance area and restrooms are finished with high-quality materials, including marble textures and accent lighting, to maintain a unified and sophisticated atmosphere throughout. The project successfully integrates functionality, aesthetics, and user comfort, resulting in an elegant and memorable café environment.

Technical information

From a technical standpoint, the project is developed at a scale of 1:100 for the general layout and 1:50 for sectional views, ensuring accuracy in spatial organization and detailing. The interior is conceived within an existing structural framework, most likely composed of reinforced concrete with brick partition walls, allowing for flexibility in space planning. Finishing materials were carefully selected for both durability and aesthetic value. The flooring incorporates a mix of high-resistance surfaces, including ceramic tiles with a marble effect and other wear-resistant textures appropriate for high-traffic areas. A distinctive element of the design is the ceiling, constructed from decorative steel panels with a water ripple effect, which adds visual dynamism and depth to the space. Custom-made furniture aligns with ergonomic and stylistic principles, while a layered lighting system—comprising general, ambient, and accent lighting—enhances both functionality and atmosphere. The design also addresses circulation efficiency, accessibility, and compliance with safety standards for public interiors.
