Shell Concept:
The central idea of the project is inspired by the form and behavior of a shell—starting from a broader, more expansive space and gradually contracting into smaller, more intimate areas. Similarly, the school design transitions from large communal zones to smaller, private learning environments. This spatial hierarchy is also reflected in the elevation, where the building height subtly varies to emphasize the flow and scale transition. The shell metaphor not only guides the form but also symbolizes protection and growth—an ideal environment for nurturing young minds.
The plan consists of an administrative office, primary and secondary school zones, each organized around dedicated courtyards that incorporate playful elements to enhance student interaction. The library is intentionally separated from the main school building and is accessed through a narrow pathway flanked by a water body. This transition creates a calm and serene atmosphere, offering a moment of quiet reflection as one approaches the library.
This building is constructed using rammed earth walls, which naturally regulate indoor temperatures and contribute to a cool, comfortable environment. The material also adds a warm, earthy aesthetic that blends harmoniously with the overall design.
