An indoor market with 500 retail spaces. The project site is located in the city of Tomsk, at the intersection of Uchebnaya and Vershinina streets. This area offers several important advantages:
1. High foot traffic and busy streets. A student dormitory is located directly across the street.
2. A visually prominent location, easily seen from nearby streets.
3. Convenient transport access, with existing bus and tram stops located nearby.
The main conceptual idea of the project is to divide the market into separate zones based on product categories. Thus, vegetables and fruits, meat and fish, and dairy products are distributed across different sections. At the same time, the building functions as a single entity, with complementary retail located on the second floor.
The building structures are made of reinforced concrete, while the dome's trusses and frame are constructed from metal.
One of the materials used in the interior was wood, it gave the interior a special atmosphere.
In addition to wood, concrete was used in the decoration - a material that is durable and has a modern style.
In addition to wood and concrete, the existing structures of the building became an important part of the decoration. Thus, the combination of wood, concrete and existing metal structures gave the appearance of the building a special charm and uniqueness, making it attractive and memorable.
