Project idea

The objective of the project is to showcase architecture to the local populace familiar with the site, namely "La Goulette, Tunis, Tunisia." My conceptual approach aimed to establish a space that affords visitors the chance to reencounter and comprehend architecture through the lens of an architect—a Fresh Eye, providing a novel and enriched perspective.

Project description

To realize the conceptual vision, I initiated the design process by focusing on the two prominent trees positioned along the central axis of the site. These trees served as guiding elements throughout the project, symbolizing the harmonious integration of architecture with nature. By strategically manipulating perspectives through fragmentation and employing deliberate inclinations, I aimed to ensure that visitors experience diverse and evolving outdoor vistas within the project.

Additionally, a deliberate effort was made to establish a profound connection between the project and the adjacent village. This involved creating a secondary entrance accessible through a carefully designed pathway, directly leading to the project's workshops. Noteworthy is the placement of a cafeteria at the project's extremity, intended to welcome a broad spectrum of individuals, including local residents

Technical information

I incorporated metallic structures into the design, mirroring the silhouette of tree shadows. Additionally, robust white boxes were integrated, drawing inspiration from the architectural style commonly found in the residences of La Goulette.
