Project idea

The idea of the project came out after searching for types of traditional and contemporary architecture in both countries.
Ethiopia has a rich architecture, characterized by the use of natural materials taken from the existing environment, such as trees and stones.
For the example "dorze" technique of splitting and weaving bamboo straw.
And the Czech Republic is characterized by materials similar to the rest of Europe, combining architecture with long-standing tradition and innovative materials. Czech architecture, also have some unique styles such as Czech cubism and factionalism. Czech architecture is reflected in geometry, concrete mass shows presence and pride.
The principles of planning are to respect nature, land and the natural environment of Ethiopia by placing masses that integrate into the given area and become an integral part of the enviroment
The concept is a envelope that cover the mass that breaks through it.
The envelope is Ethiopia and the mass that break out are the Czech Republic. The idea behind this is that the envelope creates a circular movement within the space, and within it there is a gallery that shows the tradition, and the Czech art. Guests can enjoy the gallery and thus become better acquainted with the Czech culture. This action creates a connection between two materials, as well as a meeting between two cultures.

Project description
