Project idea

The central idea behind the competition solution for "Miris Garden" tourist resort was born out of the need to preserve ambiance of location the site. The proposal therefore seeks to protect the authenticity of the site by preserving the traditional local art of dry stone walling. This involves incorporating the technique into the design and construction of the project, ensuring that it remains true to its roots and continues to be a valued part of our cultural heritage. By using dry stone walling in a contemporary context, the proposal aims to demonstrate the versatility and timelessness of this ancient building technique, and to help preserve it for future generations to enjoy and appreciate. This strategy aims to preserve the serene and natural atmosphere of the area without disrupting it.

The project building was envisioned as a work of architectural art inspired by the shape of the flower-shaped dry stone sheepfolds found in the Dalmacija. This unique design concept incorporates the traditional technique of dry stone walling, using it to create a structure that resembles the beautiful and intricate shapes of the flower-shaped sheepfolds. The project aims to highlight the beauty and versatility of dry stone walling, while also paying homage to the rich cultural heritage of the area and the unique qualities of the Croatia.

The project aims to encourage the local population to collaborate in establishing the beginning of the project, focusing on the art of dry stone walling.
