Project idea

Architecture is a way to send a message and make a visitor or a resident feel a specific way. My main goal for hotel guests is to have a relaxing experience as if they belong there, to feel they are like part of the environment, to sense everything around them - rocky mountains, greenery of plants, and the beauty of the water. That's why you would find a lot of usage of natural materials such as glue laminated timber or some more sustainable solutions like a green roof. The idea for my design concept is to have circles as "a base" and then connect them in a way to create a fluid form that will make sense as a whole with its surroundings. Even the name of the hotel "Go With The Flow" matches the fluidity of the form and the relaying feeling that everything brings.

Project description

This project consists of a few parts. The underground garage has around 85 parking places. The Ground floor with three more floors all have guest rooms on the same side so each of them has a sea view and every floor has its own lounge area. The ground floor also has a lobby and all additional spaces related to that area, an indoor pool with a sauna, massage, and spa area, a gym, additional storage spaces, and special rooms for staff. The difference between the last three floors is that the first floor has conference rooms, amphitheaters, and a cafe; the second floor has a restaurant and indoor playground for kids, and the third floor has a bar and video game room for teenagers.

Technical information

The construction of the building is made mainly of glue-laminated timber, and a bit of concrete.
