Project idea

The project and its shaping itself is developed around the sense of touch. When touch becomes part of the experience, architecture becomes associated with a person's memory. Juhani Pallasmaa, a Finnish architect known for his book on the architectural theory of Eyes of the Skin, believes that "all the senses are an extension of touch ... vision reveals what touch already knows." Although sight is an important feeling in architecture, human experience. Through this feeling, people can elevate their experience inside the space, using the ability to feel the cold temperature of the concrete and the smooth grain of the wood. They can feel the warmth of sunlight through the windows and the change of material under their feet. Whether it's a moment of wonder or soothing comfort, people remember how buildings feel. So from there is this need for tactile corrugated surfaces.

Project description

Throughout the building, it is possible to see various replicas of works of art, both from the modern age and from the past. Chicago Bean. The Bean is a work of public art in the heart of Chicago. so it was clear that her reduced replica must be found in the building itself. Jeff Koons “Balloon Dogs”. Katharina Grosse balls. Widely known for her in situ paintings, in which explosive color is sprayed directly onto architecture, interiors, and landscapes, Katharina Grosse embraces the events and incidents that arise as she works, opening up surfaces and spaces to the countless perceptual possibilities of the medium. The Greeks decided very early on that the human form was the most important subject for artistic endeavour. The statue, originally single but by the Hellenistic period often in groups was the dominant form, though reliefs, often so "high" that they were almost free-standing, were also important. Here Greek sculptures in the form of caryatids holding ceilings appear as a medium to clearly remind us what was there in the past and to show us how the old and the new can still communicate and create harmony together. Frank O. Gehry Wiggle side-chair. The nailed hand of St. Peter. Mickey Mouse art sculptures. Passionate about Pop Culture, Leblon Delienne interprets its codes and brings our favorite heroes or their imaginary worlds to life by creating figurines, statues, furniture and works of art. How Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney, are some type symbols of American culture, had to be found in some form in the building. And in response to the theme of the garden membrane of the object is created with “Baubotanik” technique consistig of living plant construction which was influenced by indigenous tribes, such as the indian khasi, who enabled exposed roots of ficus trees to grow into living bridges. Following this insight and methods we have trees and planst that behave like architecture. When the plants are sufficiently developed, the structure can be dismantled and only the green membrane remains.
The building itself is a combination of the new and the old. He is all that has been and will be. Its design as well as the content and the program itself have all the predispositions to expirience this space with all of our sences.

Technical information

The skeletal structure of the building is made of wavy ceilings and pillars. Communications inside and outside the building consist of two spiral staircases located inside the building, an elevator, which can be used for the purpose of carrying sculptures or as communication for visitors. There is also a slide in the middle of the building, which descends from the very top of the building to the amphitheater on the ground floor.
