Project idea

Today's world is more and more influenced by digitalization,
which leads to displacement of paper resources, but also, at the same time, it serves as an impetus for the creation of new library spaces. So,
libraries acquire a new meaning for society, a new one appears in them
an approach to providing information and a new way of knowing in terms of communication, socialization and formation of cognitive skills, which is a significant factor in formation of a highly intellectual society. The process is especially important communication and socialization are for children. They show increased from an early age interest in the surrounding world, therefore it is necessary to encourage children not only to reading, which is useful for the younger generation, but also to motivate self-development and knowledge.

Project description

It was chosen for the development of the design project non-residential area, which is located in the residential complex "Mirax". This object is located behind address street Hlybochytska, 43 in Kyiv. The complex of buildings is being built relatively close to the city center and has a good transport connection.
The conceptual concept of the project will be the image of clouds,
which are associated with lightness, limitlessness and freedom. In this sense therefore there is an identification of knowledge with the sky, namely that knowledge is limitless space for human activity.
The main idea of the project is to develop the most comfortable and multifunctional library environment for children of all ages. The concept of the library is its transformability and openness. there are no long boring kridors that we are all used to. This library attracts attention with its coziness and originality.
A feature of this interior is that the library has two levels.
Mezzanine serves as a means of zoning and functional separation
space for the area for older children or adult visitors who will be
more focused on learning, and the zone for younger children on
mezzanine, where they can play and have fun with their peers, which will not happen to interfere with lectures and training of visitors on the first floor.

Technical information

Light shades and natural materials are used in the interior, which emphasizes the main concept and makes the room cozy and ecological.
