Project idea

Maritime cruise terminal is an attraction point first in Lebanon and second in the world. International cruise terminal from new perspective making use of richness of unique location which is the port of Beirut constituting a meeting point of civilizations and peoples.
Through this project, which constitutes the point of life, from which the journey of life will begin, as the building is the one that will allow the world to enter the project and the heart of the city, which makes it a starting point.
To design a terminal that includes all the modern functions and amenities necessary for creating an elevated guest experience, but that also felt as it’s always been there. "to be the landmark of new Beirut.

Project description

The project consists of two main parts: -the cruise terminal which is the main part and include mainly the passengers and arrivals zones.
-Mall
the challenge was how to make a link between the two parts since the mall, when it attracts tourists, creates a dynamic movement in the harbour and in Beirut in particular.

Technical information

The link between the airport and the mall was an extension of the mall in the form of a bridge, which in turn determines the main defect of the project
The challenge was at the structure of the bridge because it exceeds 70 meters, it was the most appropriate solution by relying on the spring structure system.
