Project idea

The school project is a renovation of an ordinary elementary school in favor of improving the quality of its interior space. The main objective of the project is to rethink the school spaces, and the possibility of using the narrow spaces in everyday school life, while preserving the shape and silhouette of the airplane. In developing the project the following solutions have been put forward to improve the spaces necessary for a modern school:
- Composition of creating a unified courtyard;
- creation of a large entrance area;
- rethinking of the learning and leisure areas of the junior high school;
- A large passage on the second floor between the school blocks which has a recreational function;
- Combination of the Assembly and Gymnasium as a transformable mobile space;
- Robotics and labor class.

Project description

The reconstructed building is a precast monolithic system. The main structural component of the building is columns and beams (which are load-bearing), and panel walls (self-supporting). The development and improvement of the quality of the school space is achieved by removing the self-supporting facade panels. Such a process is not labor-intensive and financially expensive.

Technical information

School life during the school years is a movement from the general to the particular, it is a movement up "on the pyramid steps". This is the basis of the planning decisions of the school being reconstructed.
The first floor is the space for the lower grades. The redevelopment of the first floor aims to create a supportive environment for the lower grades. The children of the junior school can walk out into the courtyard directly from the classrooms. Also, the location next to the cafeteria provides an enjoyable and safe time for children.
The second floor is the space for the middle grades. This is a space for middle school students. The second floor gives them free use of the assembly hall and sports hall, as one large recreational area. In these rooms the pupils can arrange their own space, which gives them independence and makes them think differently.
The third floor is a high school space. On this floor a large unified robotics and IT space has been designed. This approach helps to understand what skill a child has, and helps to help them choose their future profession.
