Project idea

Beirut has never fully recovered from the trauma of the civil war, economic crisis, and the tragic blast on the 4th of August. The city finds itself in need of economic, transportation and culture revival to bounce back into Beirut's golden days.

Project description

"The transcendence of Bay-Rut" is a project that aims to not only renovate and restore Beirut's port but also to increase its efficiency as well as to connect the urban context with the project itself. Therefore, this project aims to bring back Beirut's golden age so that the city preserves and inherits its past and culture.

Technical information

The project mainly used steel frame system in various buildings on the site to con For instance, the renovation of cruise terminal needed big spaces and visual connection . Therefore, steel frame structure was used with Double Glazed Glass. On the other hand, the "Garden of Hope" was elevated by Tree Structure .
