Project idea

My goal was to design a house that would peacefully fit into the given location, provided comfort and privacy to the family and was as enviroment friendly as possible during its whole life span. The desing consists of the family house, which is a combbination of two different materials.

Project description

A two-generation family house for four-member family and grandparents on locality Bílá Hora.

Parcel with southwest oriented hillside offers beautiful views and good orientation in cardinal directions. The house's plot is bordered on the north and west side by adjacent buildings. The area on the south side is still undeveloped.

The design is also inspired by the teachings of feng shui, in which all five elements were applied - water, fire, earth, metal, wood.

Technical information

The whole building should point to sustainability and wood is an integral part of it.

This material is used from the outside and inside to plant the family house into the landscape and not disturb it. The same applies from the outside to the outside, when the load-bearing CLT panels are visible, warm the interior, evoke a pleasant atmosphere and again do not behave aggressively due to the character of the entire building.

Working with wood is further supported by the principle of feng-shui, where wood is a symbol of creativity and freedom.
