Project idea

the goal of the project is sustainability. in the site we designed many farmlands for producing food to decrease food crises in Beirut and green park as recreational areas, the high-rise building, as a vertical building designed in this project, and it consists of a passenger terminal that is on the ground level, and on top of that recreational area, hotels, are considered. about the memorial area, it is under the sea, and it can attract more tourists from all over the world, So, it can have a good impact on the economy.

Project description

one of the biggest issues in Lebanon is increasing the waste. As a result of this, we decide to design the high rise by recycling and reusing ship containers as a place for living, also, these ship containers are mixed with a vertical garden, because a vertical garden can act as a shading element and refresh the air quality.

Technical information

in high-rise windcatcher is considered as a cooling passive system, the core of the windcatcher will reach the canal which is called Qanat, this technique leads to cooling the interior spaces. Moreover, wave energy and wind energy are considered in this project for producing electricity, as in Lebanon people are dealing with the lack of electrical power
