Project idea

The main idea of this project is to develop an interurban terminal service that benefits the community of the Chacao municipality in Caracas. This project would provide recreation and permanence areas, as well as a commercial stop that will serve to receive the pedestrian flow from the Chacao Metro station and the Sambil Caracas Center.

Project description

The interurban terminal project was developed in a building made up of a set of intercepted triangular volumes, which is divided into two floors. The upper floor for user access to the terminal and the lower floor for the terminal platforms. This configuration allowed the development of an independent commercial complex that will serve the sector where it is located.

Technical information

In the technical aspect, the terminal has a steel structure, with 14-meter spans in a porticoed shape to support the floor slabs. To leave the plan of the upper or access level free of supports and columns, a three-dimensional structure was worked that will serve as a support for the roof, thus increasing the light between supports and allowing a more fluid circulation without major conditioning within the area of the terminal.
