Project idea

Based on the conclusions drawn from the time of the pandemics, the isolation of the population showed a lack of green space within the urban housing _small terraces, lack of yards, inability to move.
The idea of the project is to manage the obligatory square footage of the green area in the urban environment per capita, to emphasize independent and joint cultivation of plants, to solve the problem of yards, air pollution, noise, movement in modern housing.

Project description

Ur.n condenser (urban - nature condenser) is a combination of nature with everyday modern housing, emphasizing togetherness, common spaces, and the gathering of people. The project is an oasis in the core of the urban environment, based on the principle of dealing with problems such as air pollution, noise, thermal discomfort, and the primacy of concrete over greenery.

As a deficit of cultural content in the neighboring environment, the project represents a place of work and exhibition of artists; as well as a place of redefinition of learning and creativity - within nature. The Ur.n condenser complements the content of SPENS as a sports center and provides cultural benefits to students from the surrounding campus.

The condenser is a combination of the modernist heritage of the city with contemporary needs and way of life. Modern problems have led to a re-examination of the standard design of space, which affects the mental state of today's man, alienation, or lack of contact with nature.

Technical information

Guided by the learned principles from the period of the pandemic, a project was created in which the standard type of terrace is overcome, and it is guided by greenery as the main need of a modern person in the city. In addition to the obligatory square footage of greenery, a common yard and a greenhouse have been introduced in each residential unit. The apartments are designed so that each tenant can redesign the apartment as he wishes, ie. bonus_transformable rooms, whose walls and contents are variable.
