Project idea

Bashbaria is a newly discovered tourist place in Bangladesh. Being a natural site and a tourist space.
The concept of urban agriculture has been getting a lot of strength. Many food justice advocates, community groups, individuals, city planners, environmentalists, and gardens are vouching for this concept and making people aware of the significance of this concept. Although the concept of growing vegetables or fruits in the cities is not new, the way it should be done has made it quite popular. Urban farming is usually carried out in heavily populated municipalities or towns.

Also proposed vertical farming in the city. Vertical farming is the practice of producing food and medicine in vertically stacked layers, vertically inclined surfaces, and/or integrated into other structures.
1. The modern ideas of vertical farming use indoor farming techniques and controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) technology, where all environmental factors can be controlled.
2. These facilities utilize artificial control of light, environmental control (humidity, temperature...), and fertigation.
3. Some vertical farms use techniques similar to greenhouses, where natural sunlight can be augmented with artificial lighting and metal reflectors.
also provided public space, housing, local housing, resort, amusement park, park, and vertical farming.

Project description

Location: Bashbaria
Address: Sandwip Ship Ghat Rd, Kumira, Shitakundo, Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Bashbaria Bazar is 25 km north of Chittagong. It is a very small Bazar. There is a road inside the bazaar that leads to the beach. The main attraction of the beach is that there is an iron bridge which is around half km long inside the sea. One can walk through the bridge. When the water will touch the feet while walking on that narrow bridge it will create a different feel. The large sand field, pine trees, etc has made the place more beautiful. The trees have been planted by Forest Department. They have taken initiative to make the place beautiful. Along with that, there are some picnic spots, where people can spend quality time with family or friends.

Technical information

The name of our project is reimagining Bashbaria. Bashbaria is a tourist spot in recent years. 25 km north from the main city of Chittagong, The main attraction an iron bridge which is around half km long inside the sea which is used as a ship ghat.A lot of land for agriculture but due to salt tolerance and lack of knowledge for cultivation, this land remains vacant. Being a natural site and a tourist space, we develop our concept to create an eco-friendly space with multipurpose functions, so that one can experience nature through view, learn and walk. People are stagnant monotonous brick, concrete, cement structure. They can’t express their feelings, thoughts, and ideas for lacking proper space. That’s the strategy to create a space where people learn from nature and broaden their thoughts. To create connections, both physical and virtual, to make living Bashbaria easier, and to meet basic human needs. To improve economic, cultural, and administrative connections for Bashbaria to create an attractive tourist destination, and to improve the quality of life for the city’s inhabitants.
