Project idea

The masks have been preserved
in Burkina Faso as many
people continue to honor those
ancestral spirits and
spirits of nature.
Appear at funerals to observe on behalf
of the ancestors.

Project description

The property is located in uagadugu, capital of
Burkina Faso, the architectural proposal for this
sector is the rehabilitation of the popular theater
"Desire Bonogo", carrying out interventions to
improve its operation.
The main building is located to the north, where we
propose a private building that contains the
activities necessary for its proper functioning.
on the ground floor is the warehouse sector, rooms
for technicians, staging workshops, a stage dressing
room, the box office and in the southern sector there
is a food court.
The cdc sector was intervened changing the
functions to administrative ones, with archive
rooms, libraries, a cultural center located in the
great building, among other activities.
On the upper floor there is a dressing room area,
rehearsal rooms, changing rooms, as well as a
laboratory area for a photography studio, audition
studio and a conference room.
In the southern sector of the main building are
located all the workshops intended to teach activities
to the inhabitants of the city.
At a joint level, it can be accessed in a north-south
and east-west direction, linking the theater area
with the CDC through a central plaza as a space for
circulation, rest, enjoying its geometry. in the
northwest sector there is a space for fairs, where
citizens can sell their products.

THE PROJECT IS BASED ON AN ANALYSIS OF THE ENVIRONMENT, PLANIMETRY AT THE URBAN LEVEL, TOGETHER, PLANTS, FRONTS AND CUTS ON A SCALE AS WELL AS A SERIES OF RENDERS THAT HELP UNDERSTAND THE IDEA
