Project idea

The HYBRID Development of Grand Terminal of Prishtina remains the functional category of the
Studio's treatment of hybrid economic developments or mixed-use developments. The studio in the
operational forms of human experience is also guided by a design philosophy that treats Sustainability
as an integral part of human satisfaction - Hedonistic Sustainability.
The Studio Course will be constantly supported with thematic lectures which explore specific topics
within the main architectural design theme - “BIONIC ARCHITECTURE through the POETICS of
NOVEL STRUCTURES and TECTONICS” - whereby will be developed the whole process of
architectural design with sub-themes which will be accordingly selected by students depending on the
respective assignment / design brief and other contextual parameters. The general management of
Studio Course will be divided in phases / terms, with review / reviews at the end of each term.
The development of architectural design concepts will be processed under the umbrella of general
design topics for the entire Studio, through workshops of physical and digital modelling, by also
delivering a number of rapid tutorials for mastering of several digital tools / relevant software which will
be used to explore, experiment, generate and interpret the intended concepts.

knowledge on the domain of economic facilities; theming architectural design through rummage of
creative ideas and new concepts to achieve material, structural, spatial, formal and tectonic / expressive
qualities, to be delivered as an architectural project, where the power of graphic processing and
composition of information makes easy readable the systematic process - from an idea and a concept
