Project idea

A college project for an architectural studio in planning in historic site.
The concept is the contrast of the old new and how to deal with the two sides of the same and whatevers is its worth, based on the very nostalgic feeling that the road of Wadi Nisanas which is located in Israel,Haifa.

Project description

I wanted to use the different elements visible in Hadar,Haifa and put them in the building, to create a sort of a city that feels and behaves like actual Haifa.
I have to mention the importance of the various cultures, though some were there for a long time and some for actually recently, the whole story of the Palestinian people that existed before israel and how the different building techniques helped shaped different parts of the final result, I took some inspiration from various movies and movie directions that made me feel a similar feeling to that of which i have felt while visiting the site the building was built in.

Technical information

We use the metric system here in Israel so I used the 1:1000 for site analysis, 1:500 for specific site elements, 1:250 to help begin the planning (all that was in parallel vision planning).
Isometric drawings and freehand drawings was essential to begin the concept, photoshopped the logo and sketchup for the final model, enscape for the final renders, illustrator to put everything together and powerpoint.
