Project idea

The main idea of the design project is to provide a bus shelter for the public while giving shelter for street workers and sellers as well. So that they will look after the bus shelter repair, clean it if necessary, and also provide passive surveillance. And in the long run, these sellers or the workers will act as informative people sharing the bus schedules and information by learning the bus schedules.

Project description

Understanding the contextual language in this heritage city and providing the best solution for a bus shelter design for the city which adds aesthetical value, fulfill the needs of shelter from sun and rain while creating space for the street workers and sellers such as cobblers, lottery sellers, newspaper sellers and etc.

Technical information

The design comes in two sections where the one body which gives the shelter to the streets sellers and workers and the other section will provide shelter to the pedestrians. the section for the pedestrians can be replicated with any number considering the usual amount of crowd gathers to the particular bus stop throughout the day. Also, the bus stop consists of collapsible seatings where at rainy times these seatings can be folded back again providing more space to place a maximum number of pedestrians inside for rain cover.
