PLANETARIUM

Project idea

Hlavným motívom je guľa predstavujúca všeobecný tvar vesmírnych telies. Kompozíciu dotvárajú dve línie, ktoré voľne nadväzujú na obežné dráhy planét. Lávky, ktoré stúpajú do výšky, oddeľujú návštevníka od zeme a pripravujú ho na stretnutie s vesmírom a umocňujú tak zvláštny pocit, ktorý vždy spájame s návštevou inštitúcie, ktorej vedecký výskum prináša aj hlboké a nevšedné zážitky.


The main theme is a sphere representing an universal shape of space element. Two lines – pedestrian bridges – that means orbits of the planet, complete the composition of planetarium. By climbing to a height they separate the visitor from the ground and prepare them for a meeting with the space. By walking the footbridge the visitor has a special feeling that we associate with the visit of an institution whose scientific research brings unusual experiences.

Project description

1.NP - základné vybavenie návštevníkov (pokladničný pult, informácie, šatne, bufet), vstup do kinosály, expozícia; kancelárie, sklady, hygiena
2.NP - knižnica, študovňa, prednášková miestnosť, výhľad cez galériu do foyer, laboratóriá, hygiena
3.NP - výstavné priestory, obchodík, sklad, prístup do observatória, hygiena
(1.PP - priestory tzb, sklady, dieľňa)

The ground floor – the main equipment for visitors (cash deck, information counter, changing room counter, bufet), entrance to the cinema auditorium, exposition, offices, stores, toilets
The first floor – library with reading room, lecture and workshop room, view from gallery to the foyer, laboratories, toilets
The second floor – exposition, shop, store, entrance to the observatory, toilets
(Basement – tzb, store, workroom)

Technical information

Úplná bezbariérovosť.
Kinosála s priemerom 17m a kapacitou 150 návštevníkov.
Doplňujúcou funkciou lávok je úniková cesta.
Vstup do planetária je možný aj lávkami aj na teréne - zabezpečenie plynulosti prevádzky aj viacero návštevných skupín.
Ekologický koncept - fasáda je pokrytá fotovoltaickou krytinou.
Planetárium sa nachádza v Bratislave. Ide o jeden solitérny 4-podlažný objekt (Doplňujúce piate podlažie je observatórium). Hlavnou vlastnosťou pozemku je jeho výrazné klesanie.

Absolutely barrier free.
The diameter of the cinema auditorium is 17 metres with capacity of 150 visitors.
Secondary function of the pedestrian bridges is escape way.
Entrance to the planetarium is available by the footbridges or from whole terrain. This ensures operation continuity of several visiting groups.
Ecological concept – fotovoltaic cover on the facade.
The planetarium is situated in Bratislava. The building has a four-storey structure. (The fifth supplementary storey is an observatory.) The main character of site is sloping terrain.
