Project idea

Projekt galerie v Praze na Červeném vrchu reaguje a navazuje na současný park ve svahu. Cílem bylo vytvořit jednoduchý bezrozměrný objekt, který je definován hlavně svým obsahem expozice.

The project of the Gallery of Czech architecture in Prague responds to the current park in Červený vrch. The goal is to create a simple dimensionless object, which is mainly defined by its content.

Project description

Zadáním bylo vytvořit návrh galerie současné České architektury. Výsledkem je návrh galerie s depozitářem, knihovnou a kavárnou s obchodem. Jednoduchý tvaru budovy je podpořen bílou fasádou z perforovaného kovu. Orientační prvek v budově je atrium, které opticky navazuje na park a okolí budovy.

The assignment is to create a gallery of contemporary Czech architecture. The result is a design of a gallery with a depository, a library and a café with a shop. The simple shape of the building is supported by a white perforated facade. An orientation element in the building si an atrium that is connected to the park and the surroundings.

Technical information

Jedná se o skeletový konstrukční systém s lehký obvodovým pláštěm a fasádou z perforovaného kovu. Základní rozpětí je 9m. Budova je 33m široká a 71m dlouhá, má 2 nadzemní podlaží a jedno podzemní.

The structure is concrete skeleton with a glass facade in the first layer and a perforated facade in the second layer. The basic span is 9m long. The building is 33m wide and 71m long, it has two floors and one underground floor.
